batteries (AA or AAA recommended) * Each hunter is provided with the use of a headlamp.

pants (Gore-Tex or Dry-plus lined clothing is great)

Waterproof hunting boots
(air-grip or air-bob sole recommended)

Camouflage clothing (All clothing must be quiet!!!)
·
Hunting pants: wool,
fleece, suede, saddlecloth, etc.

Hunting jacket: (same
fabrics as pants) layering helps for changing temperatures

Polypropylene or Thermax
type underwear tops and bottoms (different weights are nice for changes in
temperatures)

Gloves: cotton type
gloves for the warmer days, insulated for colder, pair of waterproof, nice.

Hat: stocking hat,
baseball cap, brimmed hat (something waterproof, recommended, waterproof hoods
also work well)

Personal items: Water
bottle, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shampoo, soap, lip balm, towels, etc.

Sleeping bag (warm,
non-bulky recommended)

Weather Conditions: The precipitation is generally rain, but snow is
possible. Normal morning temps are
20-40 degrees and daytime temps 50-70 degrees.
Some days may not warm to more than 40 degrees as storm fronts pass.
Physical conditioning: The country is rugged, ranging in elevations over 5200 feet. To enhance one’s enjoyment of a hunt, and increase chances at larger trophy animals, top physical conditioning is recommended. Training that exercises the legs and lungs, is most important!
