General Information

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. The remaining balance of your hunt will be due at the time of your hunt. Payments can be made with check or money order. Credit cards are not accepted.
Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel, deposits will not be applied to another hunt. A full refund will be issued ONLY if license applicants have followed ALL licensing instructions given by RSO and are still unsuccessful in the drawing. In this case, deposits can be applied to a future hunt if you choose. We strongly recommend you consider purchasing Travelers Insurance from http://www.montanaoutfitters.org/travelersinsurance/ as protection from any unforeseen cancellations or emergencies.

We encourage our clients to drive, if at all possible, to save paying extra shipping costs for meat, antlers and capes. The airlines are getting more expensive all the time when it comes to extra baggage fees and added fees for changing flights if you fill out and want to leave early.

Hunters who choose to fly will be picked up at the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport. The airport is less than an hour from the ranch. Transportation to and from the airport can be arranged at no extra charge.

Rising Son Outfitters takes pride in the care of your meat from the time of harvest until delivery to the meat shop. Our current meat processor, Yellowstone Wild Game Processing, does a professional job of vacuum packaging and labeling your meat in a timely manner and can be reached by phone at (406) 587-9385.

Average Costs of Processing:
Elk: $350-$450
Deer: $150-$200
Sausage and/or jerky can be made for additional charges.

If you wish to donate part or all of your harvested animal, Rising Son Outfitters requires you to pay the processing of the entire animal and then RSO will donate the meat to a needy family.

We will make every effort to prepare your hides and antlers for taxidermy. If a client wishes, we can deliver antlers and capes to our local taxidermist, Rich Bradberry, who will preserve your trophy. You can view his website at Wildlife Artistry.
We encourage hunters to ask for references before booking a hunt, however, to respect the privacy of our clients, we don’t list references on our website. Please call us and we will be more than happy to give you references.
