Yellowstone Processing meat box dimensions are 14.5″long x 10.5″ wide x 8.5″ tall. An elk will usually yield 5 boxes and a deer will usually yield 2 boxes. To give you an idea on coolers, a 100 qt Igloo Sportsman cooler will hold 2 full boxes of meat and there would be room for 1 more box of loose meat packages if taken out of the box. Some hunters prefer not to take packages out of the boxes. Keep in mind that all meat packages are vacuum sealed, but may not be completely frozen. Also keep in mind that you may need coolers for transporting capes if you do not leave them at our local taxidermist.
