In 1985 I was on a do-it-yourself elk hunt in Mill Creek. We decided to come out and see if a rancher would let us shoot a couple of deer. We drove by several ranches and the Lord guided us towards Jerry Petrich’s driveway. Jerry gave us permission to shoot several deer on his land. After shooting two deer, we stopped at Jerry’s house and he introduced us to his son, Randy, who was a senior in high school. That started a thirty year friendship. In 1988 I booked an elk hunt with him. I got my first bull elk on that hunt. Since then I have done eleven elk trips with him, harvesting ten elk. I have hunted every week of the season and they are all great. There is no finer outfitter I have ever hunted with in all of my hunting all over North America.
